Ah, but the lap warmer feature has been toned down with the new Powerbooks, but was really hot with the Pismo model. Those would actually set the motherboard on fire! Mac quietly replaced them.
My whole point about Apple products is that they're wonderfully designed, but often to the point of compromising function. This is the case throughout the entire line, but Apple has been quiet about the multiple recalls and equipment failures. I listed three earlier, there have been more...
If you've never had cause to touch a PC, then you were probably weaned on Macs in elementary school. Apple provided them cheaply to most schools, and most schools bit...until their district IT departments realized that replacement and maintainance costs are significantly higher than with PCs. Other products do everything a Mac can do, but simpler and cheaper. They just don't look as cool...
