I've been designing/developing sites for about 7 years now. Everything from basic front end design to back end management, enterprise content management solutions, digital asset management systems...etc.

Design is pretty much one of the least expensive parts of a commerce site, and yes there are tons of out of the box solutions to use. But, take into consideration...hosting (bandwidth usage on top of that), hardware, software, maintanence, database, transaction costs, content management, SSL certificates...etc., and even more on top of that. This can get quite pricey, and monthly bills for it will have to be made up somehow.

I'm not saying that it will reflect 100% on the total cost of savings with these parts/accessories to be sold. But, not every legitimate business on the earth has a commerce site. I understand some people's hesitation on ordering from a site that looks old and non-professional, but sometimes merchants just have to be trusted. Before the internet became so popular, most everything was ordered from paper catalogs or just over the phone. This particular place sells exact OEM Saab parts, so just go to saabcatalog.com to reference pictures and item #'s. Also, I've had some serious fraudulent and bad experiences with online ordering in the past. My credit card companies took care of each problem 100%...so it's nice to have that insuance with them. Another thing, for some people it's pretty easy to get into someone's site and get whatever credit card/personal information they want from previous orders. I for one have been a victim of identity theft due to the lack of security on a site that 'looked' 100% professional and safe.
