That's how the street-side coffee vendors in India do it. It tastes great that way.
Since this is rarely practical, I put a little bit of coffee first, then add cream and sugar, and then add the rest of the coffee. Better mixing and no sticking to the cup (especially if it's creamer powder).
I know a lot of you advocate putting all the liquid last, but this doesn't get the same mixing effect. Sometimes the cream and sugar sits at the bottom.
