Left my Viggen today for 40k service and got a loaner (9-5 Arc-pretty nice). I just hit a pothole tonight in NYC. Who doesn't these days? I put the spare on and inspected the blown tire. A tiny hole (1/8") right between the sidewall and the contact surface. The guy at a tire shop says I need a new tire. Can't patch up. BTW, the loaner is brand new and only has ~4k miles on it. And, to be honest that was not the hardest hit I have seen, but this is my first flat tire from pothole. Is it possible the tire may have a problem?

Now, I checked the loaner agreement that I signed. It says..I have to pay Dealer for all loss and damage of any kind or nature to the vehicle occurring during customer's use or possession of it, whether or not caused by, or through the fault or neglect of customer, unless such loss or damage shall be caused by the sole negligence of Dealer.

Is it just a bad day and I have to cough up the money, or is there any way to avoid paying for a bad luck? I hope Pirelli has some kinda warranty on their tires.
