A wonderful Saab week... Posted by Clay McNeely [Email] (#497) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Clay McNeely) on Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:00:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello, everyone. This has been a truly spectacular week for me in regard to Saabs. Tuesday evening as I was merging onto I-40 on my way home, a dark green C900 3-door turbo passed me in a far lane. I did my very best to catch up with it, and I was eventually successful in my endeavor. I started to pass the guy and backed off a little so I could stay even with him. He glanced over at me, offered a second look, smiled, and waved. All the while, I was grinning like a little school girl and giving a really big thumb's up. There's just something about seeing another C900 that gets my adrenaline to rushing...it's wonderful. Yesterday evening, I decided to waste a little time at my local Target store. I pulled into the parking lot right behind a NG900 5-door. On the far-end of the parking lot, I noticed a 9-3 convertible, so I decided to go park beside it. There was a young woman inside, so I decided to skip one parking spot to avoid any potential thought of stalking she might have. When I came out of the store, a new 9-5 sedan was parked on the other side of the 9-3 convertible. It was true bliss. Our joy was blemished, however, since a Jaguar XK8 convertible decided to ruin our little segregated section of the parking lot by parking between the 9-3 convertible and I. Regardless, it was absolutely amazing to see 4 Saabs in one small parking lot. This is not a big Saab area and I rarely see multiple Saabs in any given day. To top it off, a 9-3 5-door passed me on my way in to work this morning. I think I have a tear in my eye. I just wanted to share my moments of joy with all of you. The week's not even over with yet! Drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
