Gosh I hope so.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Sat, 13 Mar 2004 11:40:17 In Reply to: Dealer / Warranty Service, Skip, Sat, 13 Mar 2004 05:06:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm at a tiny Saab dealer with big stores 30-40 miles on either side of me and gosh I sure hope our customers are as well received at the other stores as they are here. There are many legitimate reasons, relocation, traveling, and more, whereby you need to have your Saab serviced at other than the original selling dealer. I've only seen one dealer (non Saab) with a preferred customer program that didn't really do much anyway.
In my experience the folks in the service department welcome everyone equally. They can't afford to second guess where you bought your car.
Saab dealers are all on the same program, 3/36 free service, loaner and/or rental cars and Saab pays the bill, why discriminate?
Perhaps if a selling dealer customer and a non-selling dealer customer are competing for the only Saab loaner car availible you could understand a preference, but most dealers will just rent the other customer a car.
And there's work like accessories or an after the sale detail that only the selling dealer would honor which is also understandable.
I've sold out of town people cars and had them take them back to their local dealers and have non-warranty items completed and we just paid the bill.
Hey we're all one big happy Saab family right?
