At around 44 PSI you would see hardly any bubbles throught the sight glass. At those pressures, the boiling point of the refrigerant is getting to be on the warm side of cold and the air flow out of the vents at a low fan setting will not be very cold. This is overcharged.
At 33-34 PSI you will get a cold air out of the vents at low fan settings, but the boiling point is above the frost point, so evap icing will not occur. At this point you will see quite a bit of bubbles through the site glass and these will occur in surges as the AC compressor cycles on an off.
The pressure that you see with the compressor not running is quite meaningless for a charging point of view, as the pressure depends on the temperature of the system and is greatly then affected by the under hood temperatures and ambient temperature.
Doors open this time, recirc off, 78F, was good.
