I am running "Virtual PC" version 6.01 with windows 2000 professional. This is an emulation of a PC, so the computer has to run the Mac OS and the Windows system at the same time, so it slow down the whole thing. I have 384 megs of memory and I running Mac OS X 10.3.
If you want to play games, forget it. If the software is not too graphics intensive then it will work fine with no problem (like flash, word processing, internet). What is the speed of your e-mac? 800mhz, 1 ghz? Are you going to use your program every weeks? You can get a basic PC system for a few hundreds dollars. With my system speed, it's not too bad running Virtual PC, it takes a lot of time loading programs but once in the computer it is not that bad. So with your system speed it wont be that bad. Just don't take the Windows XP emulation, it is so big.
If your going to use the windows program once a week then give Virtual PC a try.
