Hi Clay,
I used Time Auto Tranport for NJ to MI. They charged ~$350 this past winter. They picked-up at door and I picked up at their hub. Their # is (248)-588-5200. Otherwise, you're only 7 hours away from Chicago. Take a vacation on a nice day, or even on Saturday go for a nice drive with your fiancee :). Rent a car from National one way (should be around $90 total). Leave at 5 in the morning and be back by 7 or 8 at night if you drive straight. Total cost should be less than $200. Plus, you get to 'see' the car before you actually have to buy it (unless you paid already). Also of course, you can make a mini-vacation out of this and do the tourist thing in Chicago (lots of things to do/see). I've bought something like 12 cars in the last year and have done the driving thing and found it to be the most economical and enjoyable. A month ago, I picked up a convertible from Alabama, (almost made it to the Atlanta ride), golfed there and could have had beer together with you on my way back. In fact, I could have driven the car to you, if the timing worked out. Anyways, good luck...
