Mobil 1 0W30 and 0W40 carry the ILSAC GF starburst mark, and are thus limited to the amount of phosphorous (as in zinc di-something phosphate) anti-wear additive. They suplement the small amount they are allowed with an organic moly compound to maintain the desired wear properties. DelVac 1 (and our other favorite, Rotella T Synthetic) do not play the GF game, and are free to put in a full helping of zinc di-something phosphate. Hence the lighter shading?
