I've been nabbed by one of these camo cops. 2 years ago on my way to college (Bucknell) I was traveling on 80 East. I have a radar detector in my car, because I knew PA state troopers likes to position their cars in the woods. As I was driving (following 2 cars going about 85 MPH), my radar detector was picking up a faint signal, this occured for a few miles. Out of no where, the detector goes crazy. I looked around, but I could not see a cop anywhere. A few seconds later the detector quiets down. A few miles down the interstate, there were about 5 cops cars on the shoulder and the cops were in the right lane instructing cars to pull over. The first two cars that were ahead of me were pulled over while I was permitted to drive through. As I was passing through, I look into my rearview mirror and I see a cop jump into his car. He pulled me over, but luckily he gave me a warning. PA State troopers are notorious for hiding themselves and their cars to catch speeders, it's crazy, but fair.
It's amazing that in Los Angeles, the CA highway patrol does not even exist. Whenever the 405 is clear, people are driving over 75. Cops are no where to be seen.
