what does it mean when "lidar" and "estimated" are checked on the ticket?
i got nabbed on monday on i-95 on the way to work (89 in 65, passing group of cars into open area and group of cars way up just past the state trooper when i noticed). he was very courtious and i was easy going (the whole situation seemed light-hearted), but he did give me the full amount ($240). i'm not real bent about the situation because it was my choice to exceed the s.l. i will go to court, but won't lie. do i want to pay? no, but i was at fault. i was reading the citation and it seemed weird that the "estimated" block would be checked with lidar.
funny thing though, i have driven 10mph or so slower the balance of this week and it feels much less safe to me. i don't weave through traffic, but i like to be gradually passing. there is something safer feeling to me to be able to focus more on what is in front of me instead of behind. but, don't tell that to the judge...:)
