I like target shooting with 22 caliber rifles. I also shoot some clay pigeons ocassionaly with a shotgun.

I like the woods and nature, but don't get into hunting. I'm not opposed to hunting - I just don't have the time or patience, and my required state hunter safety card has expired.

I have a stainless ruger 10/22 which I bought the day I turned 18 because I could. It's the most accurate of my rifles, but could be more accurate if I got a different barrel. If the Japanese mass produced guns, it would like the 10/22 - reliable, precise, inexpensive, and decently made just like Nikon cameras and Toyota cars.

I have a mini-14 .223 semiauto rifle. Fun, but noisy and not as accurate as the 10/22.

Also have a 22 magnum bolt action rifle, SKS, and a black powder single shot muzzle loading pistol. Black powder shooting is a full sensory experience: smell, sight, and sound.

I also have a cheap 20 gauge single shot shotgun I use for shooting clay pigeons with friends.

I'd like to get a serious target 22 rifle someday, and then an accurate black powder rifle. There is a big black powder following and lots of activities in this area.

I don't have a concealed weapon, as pistols don't interest me.
