Okay, here's my story. I would really like to get into motorcycling--have been wanting to for years--and this summer I will finally have some time to take the MSF course in Oregon. Right now I live in Oregon, but I will be moving to California at the end of the summer. I know it might seem illogical to take the course, get endorsed in Oregon, and then move to California a month later and have to deal with getting a new license, but the problem is, once I'm in California I will have little to no time to get the training (will be a full time grad student and teaching assistant), whereas right now I can swing it pretty easily. My basic question is, can you transfer motorcycle endorsements from state to state as easily as tranfering the license itself (ie, taking the vision and written tests), or would I be wasting my time by dealing with all this stuff in Oregon, and then having to redo it all once I move to California?
Sorry for the long post, and I know this is kind of a confusing question, but I have not been able to find any info on this question after looking at the CA DMV website for a couple of hours. Any help would be much appreciated!
Also, directly related to my first question, any recommendations for beginner bikes? Thanks!
Nathanael
