Congrats on the new bike. Get out there and have fun! If you don't already have these items, I'd recommend returning to the bike shop and picking up a high-quality pump and a small patch kit, and a folding Allen wrench set.

Speaking from deep in cyclist mode (aside from carting large things and having to move for street cleaning, I haven't really driven my car in weeks), I just wanted to say how completely wonderful I think it is that here, on an auto enthusiast BB, there has been so much discussion about bicycles recently. Thanks to everyone who makes an effort to get out and ride.
