Dick, you'll get a better response on the 9000 bb, but as I'm already here - I've used something called 'Seal-All' to repair a leak I had on the metal fuel-tank of my chevy pick-up. It worked great for a few years - never leaked again while I owned it. It was applied while the gas was dripping out of the tank. It comes in a metal tube and "seals, bonds, insulates, water-proofs and is not affected by gas or oil". I bought the stuff at my local NAPA dealer.
The fuel lines do exit from the top of the tank. You access them by removing the carpeting from the back of the trunk and the metal coverplate. Be careful removing the fuel lines - they're a press-fit and the connector is a right-angled piece of plastic that is prone to break if the removal leverage puts a moment/torque at the right-angle joint. If it breaks, then the job becomes very difficult as a new fitting must be press-fit into the line with a special tool......hth
