Don, you didn't say which engine in your 9-5. If the I4 LPT engine, then it could be the PCV (positive crankase ventilation) system for which there is a mod kit. It could also be the turbo seal leaking. Suggest you ask about such problems on the 9-5 B/B since that is the forum for questions like yours on the 9-5. I have had the PCV mod done on my 9-5 and also have used Mobil 1 full synthetic since new. All blue smoke at startup ceased after the PCV mod was done on my 9-5. Do a search on the 9-5 board for "PCV" and learn more about this.
