Ozone in the air, and UV exposure degrade tires. So if you fill the inside of the tire with Nitrogen, you'll avoid any ozone degradation. Of course, this doesn't help the outside of the tires, which see fresh ozone all the time, AND the effects of UV. So what if the insides are fresh and new, if the outsides are dried out and cracked?
And, you'll need to carry a tank of N2 around, in case you find a low tire.
Here's a question - how do they flush the oxygen and ozone out of the tire? Do they evacuate it? How do they keep the bead in place?
