A few months back, I was cruising down I675 here in Saginaw. I was in left lane and saw a silver Bimmer come up pretty fast, so I let the car pass. It was a later model M3 (I don't know Bimmers that well, but it was probably a '03 model). Silver with a very HOT blond. She nailed it just as she passed me at around 60mph. I, too, nailed my '91 Turbo convertible (stage 2 APC, 3 bar FPR). Amazing, I kept up with her (about 1.5 car length behind) up to 120mph. I was on right lane, she was on left lane. I don't think she saw me, because she was pulling into my lane to exit and got startled and pulled back into her lane. I don't she figured an old C900 turbo convertible to have kept up with her. My cost of fun = $2000. Her's probably $40,000. heh heh...
We both exited. She tried to drag me from the light. (I knew my C900 doesn't do very well 0 - 60.) She sped off into sunset. Man, I wonder what it would be like to have beauty, money, and a fast car...
So don't count out your Saab turbo's. With slight modifications, you will not be ashamed.
James from Michigan...
