The other day, I was driving right behind jimtimkim's 9000 aero.
my genni (nickname of my 01 viggen conv) was in the parking lot and
I was driving my G.F's 00 conv (5spd).
Suddenly, jimtimkim was speeding up from 70 mph to 125 mph.
I was in 5th gear, and without any thinking, I just put little bit more of accel. Something was wrong. then, I realize that I was not driving my genni. (But still catch up jimtimkim's aero with 1.5 cars space)
When you driving viggen, most of the times, you don't have to shift down to catch some cars in front of you. (Even it is brand new porsche.)
In other words, if you want it can provide everything you need right on time.and as you all know, 3rd and 4th gear is just fantastic.
So far, I worked on the basics on my genni.
All new brake system (steel brake line, dot-5 brake fluid, 300mm rear upgrade), All new suspension (Viggen rescue kit, 21mm rear sway bar, all new poly bushings in the frnot & rear, some other braces were add-on), and drop in air filter, and exhaust (new intake manifold & ultra high performance race style new catalic converter.)
New Throw out bearing with race type clutch & little bit lightned flywheel. but still I don't think that I'm ready to jump into new era- push up more H.P.
I'm not talking about technical possiblities.
I'm asking you about What I can expect more from this vehicle?
Style is good, powerful and versatile.
One time, I've put 2 transfer cases from jeep cherokee plus one steering columm in my genni's trunk (Consider my genni is convertible.)
and still available to enjoy the sun with top down and drive faster & quicker than any other vehicle that you can normally see on michigan's road.
(So far I couldn't pass or tie only two vehicles on highway with my genni.
one was 2003 Mercedes SL55 AMG which drove by some white-hair pop. and
other one was Ferarri 360 Modena Spider.)
I want to hear some other saabers' story of amazing saab vehicle.
When did you amazed by saab? What parts of saab made you shake?
