My honest opinion is that the Aero is a better option. But, of course I'm a biased 9000 person. The biggest thing is, which car has been maintained better? The difference in mileage and age is not that much. I think the Aero will hold it's value better, and will last longer, and will always be easier to sell down the road. All things being Equal, I would say get the Aero. I think there were some great High performance sedans which came out of Europe in the 1990's: The Mercedes-Benz 500E/E500 W124; the BMW M5 E34; the Audi S4/S6; and the SAAB Aero. I don't see a 9-3 SE in the same light; it's even more of a stretch than comparing a Viggen to a 9-3 SE. Good luck, and have fun deciding!
