While stationed in Germany, I was shopping between the Volvo V40 and VW Passat wagons. Test drove both, but was unimpressed. On a whim, I stopped by the Saab dealer in Kaiserslautern. The dealer, Terry Moe, gave me the keys to an SE and said, "Have fun". After an hour on the twisties and the Bahn, I came back to the showroom with a huge smile. Like you said, their selection on the lot is pretty limited so I placed an order and received the car about 3 months later. Terry was great and kept me informed every step of the way. If they don't have an example of the car you want at Pentagon, I wonder if you can test drive a comparably-equipped 9-5 wagon from one of the German dealers just to get an idea. Good luck.
