Are you familiar with Saab's Certified Pre Owned cars? That might be the first consideration. Not that you can't find a nice Saab Aero anywhere, but a Certified Pre Owned, or CPO, Saab goes through an extra rigorous inspection and selection process, has the factory Saab warranty extended from 4/50 to 6 years and 100,000 miles, and is sold and service by the folks who know the cars, your local (or perhaps not) Saab dealer.
The actual average final cost to Certify a CPO Saab is around $2,000 and not the $4,000 price difference you mention on the two cars you are looking at.
A CPO Saab is already at the dealer, but both of the cars you mention are under the original 4 year 50,000 mile factory warranty and it would be a good idea to have the one you select inspected at the local Saab dealer before ultimately purchasing as the final contingency.
