Ivan decided to pass by Atlanta during rush hour this afternoon and unfortunately many Midtown traffic lights were dark at the same time due to power outages. You have gridlock traffic, no traffic control and dumping 3 inches of rain/hour. I'm almost to an intersection when, sitting at one of the few red lights that ARE functioning I feel a tap on my bumper and hear the person behind me honking. I look up and sure enough the haughty !#$% in the white SAAB ragtop behind me looks like she's about to have a coronary to get where she's going. I give her an ugly look because, well, gee, only one car can occupy any given space at one time, and the one in front of me is in the way. Finally the light changes and because I decide to not VIOLATE THE LAW BY BLOCKING THE CROSS STREET she decides to again use her horn. Eventually the cars across the intersection begin to move as do I. As she takes a right turn she honks at me again. By the way honey, as you made your turn I WAS NOT telling you that you were #1.
