1993 is a different 900, so it won't work. A 93 engine won't work either, unless you want to try to two-stroke it, but the smoke out the tailpipe would probably freak you out, not to mention the chainsaw type noises the engine makes.
A 9-3 engine might be an option, but I am no expert in that model.
175K from a NG900 V-6 is pretty damn good, why not go to the TSN homepage and look for the link to a replacement V6 engine?
