My neighbor hit my car :( sniff sniff. The damage is minimal--scuffs to front bumper and thing below the bumper (don't know what to call it), broken lens on the amber light next to the headlight (don't know what to call it), and some chipped paint on the fender--she was probably only going about three mph when she hit it backing out of her parking place. No visible dents or dings. But I need to get it fixed. She and I are going to work this out privately instead of going through insurance, which I understand completely. So I am now taking suggestions for a good body shop in the Somerville/Cambridge area. Metrowest or North Shore areas are also possibilities.
What a bad surprise when I left the house this morning! My neighbor is very nice, she had left me a note and came out to talk to me when she saw me there staring sadly at my bumper, so there is no ill will. After all, it was an accident. But my poor car! :(
