I spent one year in Baghdad, and saw the transition from the old "Saddam" style bills to the interim currency (perhaps of actual collecting interest) to the current generation of currency. The images of the new Iraqi currency are legitimate, but you might want to know that the current exchange rate in Baghdad is 1,400 Iraqi Dinar to 1 (one) US Dollar. You are simply buying an enormously overpriced curiosity at this point. And it is NOT convertible anywhere outside Iraq. Stay away.
