"It's really quite remarkable. Two of the world's safest cars are manufactured in Sweden - virtually a stone's throw away from each other. When evaluating the safety of these and other cars on the road, the Folksam insurance company placed Volvo high on the list. We congratulate them for this. But the car that saves most lives and most effectively minimizes the number of severe injuries is the Saab 9-5.
Folksam's report is based on the in-depth analysis of [76,000] road accidents. As part of the study, the company investigated [23,000] personal injuries over an eight-year period. They [screened] police reports and combed through medical journals. The resulting body of research is truly unique in that the focus is on people, not crash dummies. Which makes us extremely proud to be ranked number one. You see, Saab has always placed a priority on building cars to protect people - not just to meet test requirements.
The fact is that the Saab 9-5 is [43%] safer than the average car. According to Folksam's report, the number of people killed and injured in traffic accidents would be reduced by [40%] over night if everyone in Sweden would drive a Saab 9-5. In [] this means [120] lives saved every year.
You're welcome to stop by your Saab dealer this weekend to test drive Sweden's safest car. We can also safely tell you that it's a pure joy to drive."
