I think SAAB is really sort of neglecting the 9-3SS. They got a good start out of the gate but have sort of left it to whither on the vine.

The car is supposed to be a sports sedan. I'd like to see a base car that played to that more strongly. Either a new trim line (perhaps EMS anyone?) or a Linear package that would offer a sport suspension again with the larger wheels. I'm not about the power thing but just adding another 10 ponnies to the Linear I think would make a difference in the real world and from a pychological perspective for buyers too. Together this would make for a very satisfying driver's car in the Eurpean tradition at a lower price point than the Aero. I'd also paint those hideous lowers on the base car (just like Audi and everyone else is now doing) and darn it why is that exhaust pipe hiding behind the bumper. Also on all the models they need a locking gas door. What a joke on a car in this class. Talk about a negative psychological impact. Finally, there should have been a wagon or hatch in the mix by now. When the wagon does come it should not be only a X-over version. There should be a version that has the clearance of a standard car so it can take a spot as a true sport wagon.

I could go on and on and on but who want to hear me babble.
