What do you think of the 25 point penalty levied against NASCARs top driver? I view it as a good/bad situation. First of all..I like Earnhardt and respect his talents. This is not a put down. But I will give the headshed an A+ on finally finding a way to put some teeth in their rules. Normally they just impose a fine (peanuts to a driver, team or sponsor) and the infraction is forgotten. But a 25 point loss can't be bought off or begged off. And it is crucial in the chase right now. It makes the driver alone responsible for his actions. Wish it would have started a bit sooner when the driver told the world over his radio that he planned to get even when he perceived someone had wronged him.
I think it is a step in the right direction if used properly, but don't know if their timing was the best as to putting it in place. GO JUNIOR! Give me your views.
