All 16 valve 4 cyl engines between ~84 up to ~2004 is using the same bolt as far as length, diameter and thread pitch, M12x1.75x95mm.
8 valve engines uses a completly different length bolt but same M12x1.75mm
C900s haven't really had an issue with the original bolts.
The very reason why I tried to install new bolts in that 92 900C engine back in 2001 was that the car came back with a leaking head gasket after some 50-70K miles (can't remember exactly)after I had replaced it earlier and that's when all the problems started with head bolt stretching and me trying to find some answers.
I have no problem reusing the original (old) style bolts ones, but since this car would be a second time, and it had some issues, I was hesitant to reuse them again.
That car DID have some underlying issues because after I left that shop I heard that the car came back with a bad head gasket again after some additional 70-100K miles. I think the car had some 250K miles total when the owner sold it.
