Karen and I had a great time. I was a spectator this time. Karen, only gal driving in this class, is totally impressed with how much she learned about the vehicle and how to take it to its limits. Very transformational! She ended up being a natural on the wet and the wet/dry autocross and was good at it all in the end, as was everyone else.

I stayed for all of the class and track work for both days. Never a boring moment. Although not driving, it was a lot of fun and a good refresher.

While doing the 'track work' on the infield training areas, there was lots of action on the road course all around us. Some very interesting vehicles. Two wrecks in two days, one serous injury, which seems to be a rare event. There was a exotic totalled when I was there driving 16 months ago. So it is sometimes a very expensive habit for those on the track and sometimes quite dangerous too.

The intructors are a fabulous group. I don't know where to start to describe their abilities, especially I have no ground to make such judgements. Wonderful folks and everything that they say and do is great advice and a great example of the right stuff. They are all race drivers.

We drove there from Kansas, and got back tonite. We stopped to see Jeff [in ATL] after, and had a great dinner and met his lovely wife and little ones, some garage/shop talk too! That was a lot of fun, as Jeff and I have worked on some stuff for just over a year now, and to meet face to face was on of those moments that makes life very interesting.

The 03 9-5 Wagon liked the trip and the engine is still breaking in. It really liked the 93 octane Chevron gas too!

Karen is very excited about these new driving skills and wants to do some things like this again. It is something that she will never forget. A very positive experience.

It was great to meet all of the other SaabNet folks. Mike was somewhat familar as we have see his pix on the 9-5BB.

If you get chance to go, don't pass it up!
