Impressing newBs with the quality of your classic SAAB

Went to a small oilspray shop in town today and was a little unsettled when he said, "This is the first one of *these* cars I've done". Not to mention the lump building in my throat as I thought of him perplexedly trying to get it into reverse, or trying to remove the key.
My dad and I warmed up to him soon, though, and in a little while were helping him remove the carpet screws in the trunk, opening the hood, and explaining some of the finer points of these old cars. (Is that the transmission??)
The warmest feeling came from when he raises the car up to spray underneath and is wholly impressed with the amount of REAL metal that is part of the cars. i.e.: wheel wells made of metal, skidplates, oilspray holes in all the right places, etc...
It's nice encouragement to continue working to keep our oldies running strong, especially after you find one CV boot split halfway around while the car's on the lift. I forsee a cold, damp day sitting in the driveway with a wheel off in the very near future...
If you're still with me, what are some of the notable (complimentary) remarks that interested people have given you on your good ol' saab?
(He also was wondering about the strange door latches and the solid sound of them closing.)
