can't think of the 9-7 as a Saab.
Giving it a Saab grille, 9-X name and moving the ingnition DO NOT make it a Saab IMHO. It's still a Chevy/GMC truck. Maybe if I drove one I'd change my mind, but it's still a thristy V6. And the last thing the world needs is another gas guzzling SUV. I wish it was more along the lines of a Volvo XC90, or maybe a Pacifica. Or even a Lexus SUV ( I forget the model number)
I think it is easier to make the Suby Impreza/Outback/WRX into a 9-2. At least the vehichles are philosophically similar. But the 9-7 is just another SUV. I think it will be interesting to see how it sells, and how GM/Saab differentiates it. And how long it remains in the line-up. With Saab as the brand, it would seem to compete with BMW and Mercedes, but the Envoy/TraiBlazer type SUVs are a step down from those.
Color me very skeptical.
