1) cordless so it's easy to move from one vehicle to another. Also has the option of buying a $10 cord to hardwire to the fuse box, which I did.

2) range is MUCH better than the V1 I had, which was only a year old. LIDAR range is superior especially.

3) Great display, very informative. Lots of options and settings.

4) Can hook an option laser jammer/shifter up to it (pricey though)

5) overall, just rated the best in it's class according to tests.

Check the link below for product reviews. As I said, I couldn't be happier with this unit. I have the cable sneak up from the fuse box, I grounded it to a bolt behind it, and have the powered end just plugged directly into where my DRL fuse was so it powers off with the car (still have to manually power it on though). Cable comes up behind the pillar next to the windshield above the fuse box, and the end comes out right behind the rear view mirror. No coiled cable going down to the cig lighter/power in the way of your dash/radio/sid/acc...etc.
