I have both.... Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Sat, 18 Dec 2004 05:46:24 In Reply to: XM or Serius?, andy [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 17 Dec 2004 18:03:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Got the wife Sirius last year for Christmas for her car and XM came with my Chevy Trailblazer purchased this summer. As far as service quality they are pretty much the same. The biggest things to look at to make your choice are if there are any specific channels you want that one offers and the other doesn't.
Second is to look at the equipment. If you are looking at the aftermarket systems, which I'm assuming you are, there are several types out there. Some are quite large (as is my wife's Sirius tuner) and challenging to install. The XM Roadie 2 (not the Roadie 1) is very small and easy to install. Some of the systems come with or can be purchased with home and travel adapters so it depends on what you are trying to have as far as flexibility of use. I'd check out both web sites and look around for the various hardware.
I'm pretty sure both are commercial free. Originally XM had commercials which is why I bought Sirius for the wife last year.
I absolutely love having the XM built in to my Trailblazer's radio system. Every time I drive my Saabs I wish I had XM in them, too....
