My trip to Quebec, Quebec

Well, I must say that I love Quebec. I'd much rather live there than here in central Massachusetts. I took 495 to Rt 3, then up to I93 into I91, then Aut55 to TC20. Highways up there in the winter are well kept although they are bumpy from frost heaves. In total it took 6 hours to get there with a brief stop for gas at St. Johnsbury, VT. I was able to drive fast, even though the roads in upper NH and VT were only one lanes. The snow was not plowed on one lane and the snow drifts did not help either. I noticed that Quebec does not have many Saab owners, which kind of made me upset. I thought I would see many more Saabs in such a cold place. I counted about 10 while I was up there. TC20 is a great highway. 60mph maximum? I think not. I was going about 90mph for a good 50 mile stretch of TC20 and that was with other cars in front of me. Some Canadians drive fast and there aren't as nearly as many cops waiting to catch you speeding. Quebec is beautiful. My girlfriend and I did a little souvenir shopping and went to 2 bars. I felt bad that I didn't take French in high school, I wish I had. Maybe next year I will take French in college so that I can speak the language. But many of the people in Quebec speak some English so that defintely helps. If your taking family or you are still a little kid at heart then you should defintely goto Village Valcartier. 42 trails of snow tubing and rafting, it was spectacular. I can't wait to goto Canada again. Next time, I plan on bringing more money. For those living in Quebec, what is the weather like in the summer time? I know I am going there again in June to Montreal and probally in August to Quebec. By the way, my Saab had no problem making the trip it hasn't been stalling at all. One thing you defintely need to do is bring at least one or two jugs of windshield washer fluid. I went through one in 3 days. Enjoy Quebec! Happy Saabing!
