I have a '97 900SE coupe with Saab load bars and 2 older Thule fork-mount bike trays.

I have a Thule air dam (basically a black polycarbonate sheet, about .125" thick). I fabricated some extenders for the supplied struts, because of the extreme curvature of the Saab windshield and distance between the load bar and the top of the windshield. These extensions are only a few inches, but the help to position the lower edge of the air dam on the very top edge of the windshield instead of on the painted roof.

Believe me, with road dust and vibration, you WILL wear the paint if you mount the air dam touching or resting on the roof. I tried mounting the air dam suspended slightly off of the roof, but it oscillates dangerously since the struts are relatively flexible. mind you, they are sufficiently sturdy when mounted resting on the winshield, but not rigid enough to withstand the airstream unaided.

I've also fabricated a clear polycarbonate extender panel (about 3" high), attached to the top of the air dam to help direct air flow over the rack attachments. Slightly lowered noise levels result.

Thule products are available from Thule, or several online car rack sellers (carracksdirect.com?).

Hope this helps - JMJ
