Wooaah! That's a lot of info! Means you have thought a lot about it which is in itself as good thing.

I'm in Acctg/ Finance myself so perhaps my prespective is different.

But the fact that you will be running a team of people that are not your direct reports to me is cause for concern. It actually had me reading the rest sideways.

I have foud that it is difficult to rely on people for your own deliverables when these same people are not accountable to you. (Then you can really get into politics...) Perhaps I am misreading the inference of your statement but that is the caveat I see in your exposé.

As for the rest, (travel, challenges, recognition,...), only you can tell as they are greatly influenced by the stage in life your are in.

Planning on having kids? Maybe you are past that?
