This is a long one...but first thanks to those who answered my post last week about college transfer. I couldnt post replies to due access problems, but its good now. --Thanks soctt. Anyway, For my Engineering Design course this semseter's project is different from the usual "build a robot to shoot a ball at a target or something." We have to design/build someting that teaches physics to 6-8 graders. There's a bunch of restrictions on build materials, but im not gona waste time listing them. The topics are limited to but not enclusive of Rolling, Torque, angular momentum, Fluids, Thermo and 1st law, oscillations, circuits, images. There is no real guidance at the beginning of this, i would think we've gotta make something interactive to grab the middle schoolers attention.
Anyway, any ideas on project? Any info on learning/teaching styles? (Gotta research that stuff, they make us)
Thanks a bunch,
Nick
