I gave our local Cablevision digital a three month trial when it first came out but dumped it for Dish and have had 0 regrets since. Mostly I like Dish for the stations they carry (content) which is far more diverse than the local cable monopoly. Not to mention, how many networks have a live call-in show once a month with the CEO?

To others:
Don't believe the hype the cable droids blast on TV about setup, reception, etc. I had some Dish techs come out and scope it thru some possibly problematic trees. They succesfully did the install and the only times we've had disruption of service (3 or 4 in two years) was when severe storms were approaching from the west and we were sighting thru a thunderhead (for some reason we in the NE have a very low sight angle to the satellite). Interruption lasted a couple minutes at worst and then would be normal during the storm.
