Of course, yes, leaving off Saab was pretty stupid.
But what does snow have to do with a canvas top? If it's cold and nasty out, you're going to put the top up, and it doesn't matter if it's just cold, or cold and rainy, or cold and snowy. Oh, I see - snow means FWD. That's because RWD is perfectly fine in rain.
In those glorious years I owned convertables, I had a simple rule - put the top up if it is precipitating HARD. Or if it's well below 20 F. Otherwise, I'd crank the heater and bundle up. I used to commute 45 miles one way on the highway, and even if it was raining lightly, the wind would keep most of the rain out of the cockpit when driving.
