I desperately need to find a reputable, competent mechanic in the Philly area.

I’m the original owner of a 1995 9000 CS. It’s the only car I ever wanted and still want. I have meticulously maintained my car. In fact, the mechanic where I previously lived wanted to buy my car for years.

Recently, my “check radiator” indicator would come on intermittently. First the dealer flushed the radiator and then replaced the hoses. Last month the indicator came on again; I drove immediately to the dealer and it started to overheat. He said that my radiator, head gasket and possibly my heads, and water hose were bad. (I replaced the water hose two years ago.) I don’t feel comfortable with his assessment; I need a second opinion.

I want to keep my car, and I don’t mind having it repaired. I just want to ensure that the repairs are warranted and that current problem will be fixed thoroughly.

Based on a previous posting, Turbo responded with a link to Philly area service agents. Does anyone have first-hand experience with Carter’s Automotive in Phoenixville or Precision Plus in Feasterville? Any other referral are welcome.
