Power Outages with Cable Modem (UPS question)

Greetings Saabers,
Have not been back for a while, the Saab is running great, but I need some advice, and knew I had to come back to Saabnet!
I have read that when the electricity fails in your neighborhood, the cable signal is usually still there, because the cable company has its own UPS. Well, I run a laptop, so when the power goes out, my battery takes over for about an hour, but my cable modem is dead. SO, I am looking for a UPS, and need about an hour of internet time to match my lappy battery. Does anyone else out there do this?? If so, are there any engineers who can figure out how big a UPC is needed to just run a cable modem (with signal booster)???
Most of the UPS have a minute rating, but I don't think a cable modem, even with the booster, will draw that much power, so maybe I can get away with a 15 minute UPS and save myself some cash??
Thanks everyone,
John Burnett
