The XC90 is the only SUV in America to meet ULEV requirements in the 6-cylinder version and ULEV II in the 5-cylinder version. I wonder which version the Aspen police department is buying.

The XC90 has a special coating on the radiator that converts 75% of the ozone it takes into the radiator into oxygen. Why? I don't know, but it's apparently a selling point as they mentioned it on the television show "5th Gear" when reviewing the XC90 (heaping on it tons of praise), and now apparently Aspen is looking at replacing their Saab 9-5s with this supposedly "eco-friendly" SUV.

I don't think the Saab 9-7X is particularly eco-friendly, being based on the Chevy Trailblazer. Therefore I don't think it'd be in the running even if it were released at the time Aspen was making this decision.
