What brand combination wrenches should I buy?

I've been out in the garage doing some organizing, and I'm again reminded... the combination wrenches I'm using really junky. I think it's a set my wife bought me from Sam's Club. I hate them.
I used to have a great set of Snap-on combination wrenches I bought 1 wrench per payday back when I was pumping gas, doing some minor mechanic work, and wishing I were a real mechanic. They felt so nice in my hand, but they were stolen years ago.
I'm ashamed to say I seldom lift a wrench any more, but on those rare occasions, I want a decent tool in my hand.
I don't want to pay Snap-on prices. What would you folks recommend?
Thanks!
Dave
