Saab Car Club of Australia trip to Tasmania...

The Saab Car Club of Australia has just got back from their National Club 5 day driving trip to Tasmania...
We all met in Melbourne with 17 cars going on the overnight Ferry south (a 10 hour journey). It was a huge success with everyone raving about how fun it was and how amazing the roads are down there, and how much fun it was to drive them (most at speed)!
We even had a member drive 4,000km one way from Darwin just to attend with his wife - he had to turn back twice due to a broken belt pulley, and a/c compressor. And unfortunatley he hit a Kangaroo somehwere near Adelaide one morning too (pics in the link). He was only doing 60km/h at the time and the roo started bounding off from being in the middle of the road... but turned across his path... he hit it on the front right and broke the headlight, dented the bonnet and as the roo flew over the roof sustained some dents on the roof. Luckily we could get a brand new headlight ready for him when he arrived!
Tasmania has some of the best roads in the world I think with little or no traffic that uses them either! Lots of corners, straights and challenging terrain... and awesome scenery!
Check out just some of the 580 pics I took in the link below!
If you ever get a chance to get to Australia, make sure you make it to Tasmania! You will not regret it!
cheers from down under!
