I've toyed... In my Viggen, the 3-2 is tough, but the 4-3 just slides right in :). The problem with upshifts is the computer holding the revs up for a couple seconds since you have to wait for them to drop before rev matching. Blipping in neutral made the downshift easier. It's just quicker to use the clutch and much better for the car... but it is nice to know that it's possible just in case the clutch goes out ;)
So, given the "downside" of double clutching & clutchless shifting, aren't both issues avoided by going clutchless to neutral, rev matching, then using the clutch like double clutching? That way you rev match the gears and only use the clutch once.....
