submit button. I was rushing to match up with the t-minus countdown clock. Saabnet.com has made several donations to The Planetary Society and the Cosmos 1 project. Heavens-Above (see link below) will have pass-over information. The sails won't 'unfurl' right away. You'll need binocs to see it as it's somewhere up at +6 in the brightness scale. I think I've only ever seen a +4 with the naked eye (satellite passing overhead - the scale works in reverse, oddly enough - Venus = -4 (very bright) while the space station is around 0 and most satellites around +3 - Iridium Flares can be as bright as -9)....
Anyway, fun stuff. They used an old Russian ICBM rocket to launch it into space from a Soviet Submarine in the Barents Sea.
