For all of the times I've seen negative postings concerning service or lack of service at dealers, I feel I must share a positive expirience.

This past weekend my fiance and I went to Quebec for a family BBQ/reunion of sorts. My trusty 9-3 let me down and the only recourse I had was to have it towed to a dealer on Monday morning. I was psyched to find out that there was even a Saab dealer in the area. Saabs are scarce up there. If you've ever tried to purchase or accomplish anything on a Sunday in Quebec, you know my pain. EVERTHING is closed, with only a few exceptions. Turns out I need a clutch assembly for the AC compressor, mine is fried along with a pulley and the serpentine. It's a simple fix right? Well, yes it is. The problem is getting the clutch. The parts manager can't find one anywhere in eastern Canada. I call a friend at a dealer state side, sorry no dice. So now it's 12:00 noon on Monday and the soonest one will arrive from where ever is Thursday morning. Things are not looking good. As I'm staring out the window trying to come up with a solution, lighting strikes. There is a used '02 9-3 on their lot for sale. I just found the part I need. I run my plan by the parts manager, he gets approval from the GM to scavenge from the '02 and in a few hours I'm back on the road and on my way home.

All of this was done at a rather small dealership. They sell both Saturn and Saab, Saab being the "smaller" of the two operations by far. There are not that many Saabs rolling around the greater "l'Estrie" area to say the least. They had only one Saab Tech working on Monday. I think that's all they really needed. They still managed to get me on the road and keep their other service appointments. Now, could there have been other mechanical or logistical solutions to my little issue, sure why not. But I feel that Saab of Sherbrooke definately went above and beyond by parting out one of their cars, that was on the lot for sale no less, to get me going again. They could have easy said sorry, you're stuck until Thursday. So, thanks to the crew at Saab Sherbrooke. And to all the Saabers in L'Estrie, you guys have a great dealership to work with up there.

Thanks for the time....
